INT/College awards

The Isaac Newton Trust works in partnership with Colleges in a number of ways:

College Teaching Officers (whose primary employment is to teach for their College): CTO grants made to Colleges by the Trust increase the pool from which University teaching may be drawn. NB this programme is now closed to new applicants.

Current established CTOs (whether funded by the above programme or not) may apply through their Colleges for support for the equivalent of a sabbatical - see CTO Research Leave.

Newton Trust Teaching Fellowships, on the other hand, provide an opportunity for postdoctoral researchers employed by the University to gain experience of undergraduate teaching and integration into College fellowships.

Junior Research Fellowships and shared MPhil Bursaries represent the Trust’s contribution to research posts and studentships in Colleges.
