Are you a detail-oriented organiser with a flair for managing events, people, and processes? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative, values-driven environment that supports world-class research?

The Isaac Newton Trust invites applications for a part-time Trust Co-ordinator to play a key role in delivering the Trust’s mission to support research and education at the University of Cambridge. Established by Trinity College in 1988, the Trust funds early career researchers, academic departments, and collaborative university-college programmes across all disciplines.

You will be central to the smooth running of the Trust’s work — planning high-profile events, coordinating meetings, managing schedules, and helping deliver grant programmes. You’ll also act as a key contact for a wide range of stakeholders, from senior academics to grant recipients.

Your strong administrative and event-planning skills, calm professionalism, and attention to detail will help ensure the Trust’s programmes and events are delivered to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organising flagship Trust events and formal meetings
  • Managing the Trust’s annual calendar and application cycles
  • Coordinating final grant reports and liaising with award holders
  • Ensuring accurate record-keeping in line with data protection regulations
  • Supporting the wider team and acting as cover when needed

About you

You’ll bring:

  • Proven administrative and event coordination experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and online platforms
  • A proactive, organised, and flexible approach
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

Experience of working at the University of Cambridge or a Cambridge College is desirable but not essential.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to contribute to a small, dedicated team that plays a vital role in supporting Cambridge’s research excellence. You'll enjoy a varied and intellectually rewarding role with flexible working options and access to professional development opportunities through the University of Cambridge.

Some on-site working and in-person meeting attendance is essential. We welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible arrangements and those returning to work after a career break.
