Isaac Newton Trust

Many postdocs value a formal attachment to one of colleges at the University of Cambridge.  All the colleges at Cambridge offer affiliation opportunities for postdoctoral fellows, providing additional academic and social networks beyond the host department.  Please note that you do not have to have a College connection, but most researchers find it helpful to have a College where they can network with researchers, fellows and students across the full spectrum of subjects, nationalities and levels of seniority, and maybe get involved in some teaching if the opportunity arises.

The Isaac Newton Trust (INT) is happy to help you find a college association at Cambridge if you have not already made arrangements for yourself.  We work with the colleges at Cambridge which have been assessed as exempt from making a Contribution to the University under Statute G, Chapter II.  This list is updated annually and currently comprises the 11 Colleges listed below.   The Isaac Newton Trust supports these colleges in particular with the development of their academic communities.

We should stress that this is entirely optional as far as you are concerned. If you wish to make your own arrangements to apply for an association with other Colleges then you are very welcome to do so. Or you can opt not to have a College at all.

Information about other college affiliation opportunities is available from the University's Postdoc Academy.
