Isaac Newton Trust


Our Humboldt Feodor Lynen Fellow, Dr Simon Pickl,  has won the Prize for German Studies in Linguistics of the Hugo-Moser-Stiftung. The prize of 7,500 euros is awarded to young researchers for ongoing research in the field of Germanic linguistics. It will be awarded at the opening of the 55th Annual Conference of the Institute for German Language on March 12, 2019 at the Congress Center Rosengarten in Mannheim.

Simon is in the Department of German, hosted by Dr Sheila Watts,  and his research topic is: "A millennium of grammatical change. A Diachronous Longitudinal Study Using Sermons from the 9th to the 19th Centuries"
